Hey guys, what’s up?

My name is Abby McGuire, creator of Sole Searcher. It’s your blog about the lifestyle, personal meaning, and upkeep of owning fashionable shoes. I am just so excited to be guest posting on Maddie’s blog today. I think it’s really cool that Maddie is doing her bit to help our ecosystem. That being said, I am really big into the benefits of honey for people and think it’s something that more people should know!

So, let’s get into it-

-Honey is a great natural sweetener that is full of nutrients such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc.

-I personally love adding honey into my matcha latte in the morning or peppermint tea before bed!

-Local honey is beneficial to people with allergies. Bees collect pollen around where you live so eating small amounts of pollen in honey can help to immunize the body against the pollen the person is allergic too. This will minimize irritation during allergy season.

-I swear by this! I pick up my local honey at my farmers market and this has definitely helped me during allergy season!

-Honey contains antibacterial properties which makes it a great acne prevention and treatment tool.

-I mix honey and a tablespoon of turmeric as an antibacterial face mask!

-Honey also contains antioxidants which is age-defying! It is extremely moisturizing and creates a glow!

-Another benefit to my facemask! I find that my skin is super moisturized post masking!

-Honey helps to soothe coughs. Put down the cough drops and start eating small amounts of honey that will coat your throat and reduce a cough.

I hope you find these quick facts and tips helpful and thank you so much for having me!

xoxo,

Abby
