Honey-Infused Breakfast Recipes

I think I could drink the honey from my hives, but I also love incorporating it into different recipes. I have decided to create a breakfast (my favorite meal of the day) inspired list of recipes that integrate honey! I hope you enjoy!
Mama’s Homemade Honey Granola:
Ingredients:
-8 cups of rolled oats
-1 cup of finely chopped almonds
-1 cup of finely chopped walnuts
-1 cup of finely chopped pecans
-½ cup of flax seeds
-¼ cup of maple syrup
-¾ cup of honey
-1 cup of vegetable oil
-1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
-1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
-1 ½ teaspoons of salt
Directions: 1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Combine the oats, almonds, walnuts, pecans and flax seeds in a large bowl and stir together.
3. Mix the maple syrup, honey, vegetable oil, ground cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan. Bring this to a boil (over medium heat) and then pour over the dry ingredients. Stir to coat the ingredients and spread the mixture out on the baking sheets.
4. Bake in the oven until golden brown and slightly toasted for 20 minutes (toss/ stir the mixture halfway so all pieces are evenly cooked.
***This granola tastes great when sprinkled atop greek yogurt along with fresh blueberries and a drizzle of honey!***
Elevated Sourdough Toast
Ingredients:
-Fresh Sourdough Bread
-Butter
-Honey
-Salt
Directions:
1. Toast the sourdough bread until golden brown.
2. Spread butter over the warm bread.
3. Drizzle the honey atop the buttered bread.
4. Sprinkle some salt on top
5. Rasperry jam also tastes great with this!
***This is extremely easy to make and is the perfect sweet/salty breakfast!***
